i been bored trying to look for a job this summer so i get time to play alot of games. lately it seems as though the console games out there are just too short. it's to the point that you can beat most games in less than a week and many of them (sadly enough) only take a day or two to beat). other than sports games, many of the shit out there is basically shit. it seems as though the games being put out are a bit stale and that the concepts are a bit trite for others.

anyone have any suggestions for what good console games to check out. RPGs, strategy and tactics games are ones i like the most and FPS games are good when there are a bunch of people playing them.

please feel free to leave me some suggestions of some games that would be worth the time to pickfrom the store.

FarCry is fun. Can DL the demo to test it.
If you have an Xbox try Thief and Ninja Gaiden. THose are pretty fun games.

I've been getting all into RA2 and WC3 again for shits and giggles.

I still think Vice City for PS2 is great.

I just tried Joint Operations for PC, looked really good, and had some cool features.

Driver 3 got 1 out of 6.

And every review I have read says it sucks big ass monkey flaps.

Yeah, farcry is fun, and pretty damn long as well.. plus the monsters really scare me at times, especially the first few times I encounter them

my friend bought driver 3 and i played it for a few hours. Aside from quite a few minor (yet hilarious) graphical glitches and slightly annoying aiming, the game was loads and loads of fun!

if you have gamecube you should get Ikaruga, its an incredibly hard shoot em up (like r-type, gradius, raptor etc)

Or that turtles beat-em up game (for gc and ps2 at least, dunno if its for xbox) its is quite fun, and a bit of a nostalgic trip

I'm downloading Thief: Deadly Shadows ATM, it's gotten some stellar reviews, and I suspect it'll be good as long as you're somewhat patient with it.

I want a Acarde with Wonderboy in monsterland, now thats hours of entertainment.

Farcry is imo in the end a bit to long, it gets boring. Think thats the main reason why games seems to be over so quickly, if not you would get bored with the same stuff.....

Vice City is a nice game, but I perfer it on PC, have it on my xbox tho, I find it a lot easier to play on a pc

Consols are for beat'em ups, racing and adventures

IF you want pure button mashing beat em up games for the console check out the LoTR games. THey're not very long, but in co-op it's quite a good time to mach the buttons.

And Thief is better for the console IMO Obit.

Got the lastest... a lot of mindless beat'em up, nice way to relax

I was thinking more of Virtual Fighter, Tekken and Dead or Alive genre.

far cry is just boring. thief 3 is pretty damn cool, and a worthy sequel imo...and why would you suggest the xbox version? that's like bragging about a ferrari and dressing it up with type r stickers, flame decals, and stupid DAVE EARNHART WE SHALL REMEMBER YOU stickers. it just looks stupid.

can't think of anything i'm playing besides SWG that's fun, but i did give doom legacy another spin while my cable was down one night...put on some rob zombie and whatnot while playing, it helps.

I remember i got wonderboy in monster world about 11 years ago or so maybe more for the Master System. i kept getting stuck at the bit where u had to play the melody on what i thought at the time was a lemon lol.

i think it was an ocarina or something.

anyhow, Driver 3 was pretty shit IMO, my mate got it last week and we wernt impressed.

I agree with hyjal, if u havnt played and completed FF 6-12 get as many as u can they are absolutly fantastic.

Star wars: KotOR is a good game, i got so addicted to it i played it non stop for about a week, completed it but it could have easily lasted a lot longer.

Havnt played thief 3 yet but i want to get it.

u ever played XVIII, may seem a bit childish but its actually pretty good i thought, and the multiplayer on it is fun.

FarCry is an ok game, its the best looking game on the market, but thats about it. The story is ok, the action is ok (somtimes uber), but a game needs to be more the OK to be cash worthy. And it sucks that you finish one part flawless and then som damn sniper you dident see ends it all, and you hafto replay the hole part >_<

But the water in that game looks so good that it makes my eyes hurt

I've played the game on both the Xbox and the computer and I felt that the controls flowed better with a controller than with a keyboard. I dont even understand your rant about stickers.
