I like Paint Shop Pro, it got support for Vektor graphics, and its damn cheap compared to PS, and you can download a 60day trial too.

Bittorrent proggies.. oh well.. yes a nice way to get your stuff. But if you have no CLUE on how it works, then I wil never ever team with you!

I guess proggies like that are lag reason nr 1 for mmorpgs...


I really like torent, but be aware that if you just download and install such proggies (sorta goes for all p2p proggies too), you may end up using ALL your output bandwidth.. (normally people have less output)...

That's why you should use NetLimiter.
Since I have 704/128 atm., I limit my BT application to 4-7kB/s upstream.

Indeed. Such programs is no problem IF you know that you can control your bandwidth. I've just seen to many that have no clue using p2p programs, and complain about lag...

It doesn't leach in the background constantly... It only uploads if you're downloading. I doubt everyone is downloading/uploading multiple movies while teaming.

More likely they just have crap modem connections.

The problem isn't the amount of bandwidth (more accurately the amount of throughput) these programs use, but the amount of connections they allow. You could be uploading at 2kbps, but if you got 2000 connections on your ports, your system resources will be dragging like a 386 trying to run sim city.

True. I rarely have more than a few hundred connections per torrent though, doesn't affect me much.
Edit: Also, atleast on my BT application, you can choose how many connections should be allowed.

That depends on the client you use. Some clients seeds for time, and some clients seeds for the ammount of MB you downloaded.

(the problem is normaly with unexperienced leechers, poeple who has been in the leeching-game a while,  will most likely kill the client before they play AO).. I just wanted to warn newcommers to the torrent world)

I installed Azureus 2 days ago and I got some difficulties to find the programs I want to download cause there isn't any search button like in the other p2p. Are there some sites where I could find good stuff ?

Suprnova is ok, however it is monitored by certain legal agencies.

The best thing to do is try and find a few private trackers and become a member.  There are some out there, however the people that use them are tight lipped because when one type of person becomes a member and tells one other person, there are soon thousands of people leeching and not seeding 1:1 ratios, therefore ruining the torrent.  Oh and the trackers and tracker servers get hit with thousands of people wanting to download.  

If you can find some private ones, you are lucky.
