I have 100mbit at my apartment and its more than sufficient

heck, just for fun i tried maxing out my line on dc++ once in one of those high speed hubs (you need 10mbit or more to get in in this particular one)
and after managing to starting about 30 downloads at once i was still "only" at 6mb/s transfer speed, but it lagged the crap out of my pc

oh and no matter where else i download from its their line that is the bottleneck, the fastest ive ever downloaded outside a peer to peer program was the AO trial which came at a steady 2 mb/s (still 8 mb/s room in the line ;) )
Microsoft stuff i get at my lines top speed but i suspect this is because of some proxy thing or whatever, my local server on my network hosting the files since they are downloaded alot or something like that

Ok where the hell do you guys live? wherever it is, I'm coming!

In Italy the max is 10mbits and that's only in Milan and its fiberoptics...
In France I know there is going to be 16mb soon, but that's nowhere near 1gb or 100mb!

that why we have phat connection.
It's not like we go outside. we'll die.

On the piracy thingy tho..
I'll download what i need. I would like for the artists to become richer and richer, but i would like to eat also. And if i got a choice, then i'll take both.

btw. As far as i know. we copy and download more games now than before, but the game industry seems only to be getting bigger. Okay, so there are maybe more people all in all with there being more computers in the market. Still.. good games are still being made and it's somehow become a part o f the "game"
erhm..
ye.. something like that.

If i had to buy all my stuff that i use my computer for, then i would not use it as much.
omg, think of all the pron?!? :p

Sweden sucks.

:P

Our internet connection atm sucks the bawls. Helped a little when I got a webproxy server up and running, but it is still kinda shitty.

Come to think of it, I see myself more as a cracker than a "downloading" kinda guy.

The right to bear arms is slightly less ludicrous than the right to arm bears.
