The structure is good, and the playing nice and tight, but the mix is a little messy, bring up the vocals and bass by around 3db and maybe add some delay and reverb for more ambience/presence.

I like

peace

I think ripping it to an mp3 might have hurt the rough mix.

Im listening to it now and I hear almost no bass as well. This is not as intended.  :(

ANyways, eventually when the cd is finished, id be more than happy to mail out copies to guildies. If anyones interested.

I'll post more songs as theyre finished.

LOL well the music is ok...

the only thing i m not really fond of is the voice...

/ matter of taste.

anyway the voice - volume is a little low. u don t sound ' bad enough'-

and i feel lke the hm.. how u call it in english .. drummer ? well he s a little bit rough... needs to be a little more smooth. don t know if i m making sense. but it s ok , we had a 'prosecco' tonight. and nothing to eat...

Act well your part,

As far as the roughness, actually the answers im getting back from you guys are just what Id hoped for. The CD is meant to keep to the underground sound, so i doubt i'll clean it up much more. Maybe smooth over the bass/guitars, but as for its style/sound ,it'll probly stay the same, except bringing the vocals up a notch.

Keep the opinions coming though please!

you might want to mic the kick drum you can barely hear it, turn the bass up, voice is a little quiet.  but sounds good my friend. i'd play the cd in my truck

Damn, that rocks man! Love the vocals and the guitar riffs. But my music taste is kinda warped, like my brain. It does need a little better sound engineering. Run it thru Wavelab and you can probably get a better overall sound. And Caloss2 had some good suggestions on the mix. Also could just be the mp3 conversion, 128Kbps isnt the best bit rate. Try 192 or 256. Did you do this in a home studio or professional one?

We use a Tascam digital 64 track.

Alesis Instrument mics.

Shure instrament mics.

Shurce Drum mics.

Alesis vocal Condenser mics.

Those drums your hearing are an actual 1978 Ludwig kit we found a few months back, the bass drum is reduced to a "CLICK" sound, since the guitar is so thick, you couldnt hear a standard "thump anyway."

That guitar is a Shecter 7 string (diamond series)

The bass is a 5 string Ibanez (active pickups)  Feildy edition

The song itself is a cover of Superjoint Ritual.

We picked it because lately, our underground music scene is overrun with this radio rock shit, and it frankly gets on my last goddamn nerve.

some of the local bands are either too "self glamorized" or they have this lead singer who has to "LOOK" good over "SOUND" good.

Me personally, I dont sing, I just yell/scream. It cuts the bullshit and goes strait to the point.

We are an unhappy peoples.

haha famous. All we really want is our sound out. Fame and fortune are kinda over rated.

You sign a paper, they hand you a 10k USD- 15k USD "LOAN"

Regardless of your record selling, you have to pay it back.

Trust me, we know all about this.  fuck popsweatshop
