Lordbrando ...
« on: April 20, 2007, 09:46:45 PM »
Just thought I'd post here just for those of you who hang out with him in real life and those who talk with him over the net.

He went to the hospital a few days ago, I won't go into the details of why cause I don't know how much he would want everyone knowing. Either way, I just spoke with him and he is still in the intensive care unit. He's doing better, but not out of the woods for sure just yet. He's tried contacting most of you who know him in real life via text messages from his cell phone, but he can't quite get to the internet right now to talk on the forums.

Anyways, if you already knew of this but didn't know of his status, just know that they're taking good care of him and he's getting better.

Oh, and to give it a juicy story, I'll make the claim that he's in there due to injuries he sustained performing a heroic rescue of women and children from evil do'ers. (this claim isn't quite true)

Still groping for blood alcohol poisoning...

Aah, out so soon already. A true hero and rolemodel. Once again there's proof that massive consumption of alcohol at weekends increases your overallt health regeneration and recovery process.

Well done cap'n!

Thank you all for your kind words and concern. I guess i should let you all know the story now so you don't worry anymore, its not as interesting as i would like it to be, but here it goes.

Well last Monday morning around 3:00am i woke up with a horrible abdominal pain. After about 30 minutes of this i decided i would have my roommate drive me to the emergency room. So i was in the emergency room till about 5 in the morning when they decided they weren't going to admit me to the hospital because they figured, after all the xrays and scans and stuff, that it was just a stomach ulser. So i ended up going home with my parents and was in pain all day, didn't sleep very well, the medicine they had prescribed wasn't helping at all.

At around 10 o'clock that night the pain was worse than it was that morning so we made a trip to the emergency room again. It was a different hospital since my parents live in a different part of town so they ran the tests and scans again. They admitted me to the hospital for an infected gulbladder and gulstones, the doctor said it was full of gulstones.

They ended up removing my gulbladder Thursday afternoon, but things didn't get better. Apparently i was losing blood and bleeding internally and the doctor didn't know from where. They put me in the ICU and later that night around 2 in the morning they did another surgery to try and fix the bleeding.

They put me back in ICU overnight and moved me to a regular room the next day. The doctor told me a few days later after they got the report back from the lab that my gulbladder was gangegreene, i think that is how to spell it. I spent a day or two recovering and Sunday afternoon they released me.

I am still rather sore and trying to get my strength back up but other than that i am doing well.

Obviously you don't drink enough or your internal organs would be pickled with the result of not spoiling like that.

Just glad to hear you are recovering and in good spirits.  Hope they got everything out now so they don't have to go back in.  Get better.

Glad you're doing better bro. Too bad I couldn't get ya to a Stars game before they lost out. :(

Would've been nice for them to win the Stanley Cup again.

Well i am back at my parents house... *sigh* I'm so depressed, i feel like i have taken a big step back in my life....... I had a bunch of people help me move, which i am happy i have friends that will take the time out to help me since i am not supposed to lift anything over 10 pounds for a while (Dr's Orders). I started working again on wednesday and i have really missed the work routine.

The only good thing that has come out of all this is that i now have internet again....two weeks without it has been hell.

Keep your chin up.. I moved back home for a year before I moved out again. Sometimes it happens and you will get back out, just use the time to save a bunch and get yourself your own place. You need to still be resting anyway.
