Hi all, and welcome... to the application!
Fan of Caloss2 here, his kind words of you during some of the lets build series are the reason I found about you, in the first place. I am Ipster, the name being a real-life nickname preceding any bearded lumberjacks having fancy coffee. I play under the name Ipster, currently a level 3 martial artist on the new server. I think it's the first time I've been playing under this name. I'm back after a long hiatus with a fresh account, and can't really even remember the names of my old characters. I believe one of them was "Varjotartar", an opifex shade. I did have a trader by the same name on the new server, but he got ceremonially removed after everyone in the group of friends stopped playing.

I like the social aspect of any MMOG - doing things together, helping others, being helped. Generally achieving something that couldn't be done alone. I've never really been after *the best* items or highest numbers - in games, gear is simply a tool for accessing more content. I did play WoW up until the end of The Burning Crusade, and I've also played Batmud on and off for the past 15 years. In WoW, we mainly did PvP with a group of rl friends. Generally, I'd describe myself as a "casual" player. Not necessarily casual measured by hours played, but I often find myself taking the monotonic, grindy way of doing things instead of the most effective one. I've made some great friends in Batmud, some of which I could say I know better than some of my real friends.

Last time I played  Anarchy Online I was in Northern Star, a group of Finnish drunkards. I never actually left it, I still talk to them on Discord - everyone simply stopped playing. Having seen some of the guilds on live that offer invites to everyone passing by, Storm seems like a much more mature community. Judging by the forum posts I am able to see, alone. I am mostly looking forwards to doing things together. Dungeons, higher raids, helping others out, maybe getting help getting that one nodrop item I could use. I am not that experienced with the PvP side of AO, but I'd be more than happy to participate. Being able to help & getting some help every now and then is what keeps me in a guild.

I am from Finland and my native language is Finnish. I'm currently living in Iceland, which makes my time zone UTC +0. Thank you for taking the time to go through this one, I look forward to hearing from you.
