Some music for the public!
« on: April 17, 2003, 02:11:16 AM »
Stuff made by Wolfe here. I know this isnt roleplaying, but the description of the forum mentions creative and I hope music is at least somewhat creative!

www.megalithproductions.com/music/blippit.mp3 <- This is Blipp-Metal!

www.megalithproductions.com/music/spirits.mp3 <- This is old Metal (yucky engineering)

www.megalithproductions.com/music/closed.mp3 <- soft rock (also yucky engineering)

www.megalithproductions.com/music/kururemake.mp3 <- Kuruownz guitar piece

www.megalithproductions.com/music/sploitz.mp3 <- What I think about exploits!

Maybe I'll add more later on

The blippit song is just something I made, I didnt compose anything or have any plan for it prior to recording it. But I took some rythm guitar patterns and improvised the lead guitar and the keyboard, wrote some hapzhard drum and percussion tracks! All in all a very hastyily created little piece of music.

I'll probably make some more similar stuff, its an easy genre for me. but it took me a good while to get those fast lead guitar runs down, im not really a skilled lead guitar player. But all for good fun.

Thnks for the feedback everyone. Its really great to hear what kinds of stuff some people enjoy hearing. I know the stuff I have posted here is all pretty roughly made, but its kinda a part of the educating process im putting myself thru.

Most of the music im working with now is "under construction", I load the sessions up now and then and edit the mix a bit back and forth and I hope the edits make for some kind of improvement. I guess maybe I'll see about that later on.

And your welcome to play whatever you find here wherever you want. Our company is its own publisher so no one will be bitching about stuff beeing played where it shouldnt as long as I think its cool.

followed the link on Deacon's signature and saw this post here as well...and I have to say, I really like your music Wolfe.

They're all good, but the one I find myself listening to repeatedly is "Blippit"--that one is almost constantly playing on my PC.

Anyway, nice work!  Thanks for sharing them with us.

Since I have gotten some nice feedback about the blippit song I decided to improve the mix some and give it some mastering. I uploaded the new one today to the same file.

Your in good companey I guess :P

Carry it on!  ./me listens to some more[/b]

Mmm, Dream Theater

Songs of Uberness in some kind of ranking

The Kiling Hand version from Live at the Marquee

Home - Scenes from a memory, some live versions are cool too, but they mix the vocals too loud usually so it kills the riffs in the background.

Metropolis - Live at the Marquee again, or - Live Scenes from New York

They really got good moments in almost every damn song they have made. However some specific songs just gets me in the mood to try ad make something that swings. Kindof how the melody in Home goes thru the chromatic part to the keychange in the prechorus. While those riffs just grind away like a machine below it, sweetness.
